DAY FIVE REPORT

Saturday, the boys dug the trenches and started working the the rebar reinforcement for the footers.  Sunday, they took the day off for the Lord´s day.  Today, they worked on all of the rebar and will be pouring the footers tomorrow at 8 AM.  We had a problem, but it has been corrected.  Pedro used the plan the city engineer drew up, and they had the wing section at 20´ 10¨ and the Porch at 18´10¨, and he went by that when he dug the footers.  When he studied your plans he saw you had 20´and 18´, but he corrected it by digging some of the footers 10¨ wider.  He will us plywood to compensate.  I don´t know if you understand that or not, but just be assured that it will all be OK, everything is right now.  Mike Coyne is going by and checking that all is fine.

DAY 3, REPORT 1

Today Pedro is battling high winds but bravely working to get levels set and the trenches for the drainage dug. Petitions for water are in and we hope to get it soon. We measured the height of the curb to the floor, and it is 10 1/2 Inches. The curb is 7 1/2 high, so from the street to the floor, it is 17 1/2 inches. Here are some pictures:

Day 2, Report 1

Today they put more dirt and water, and compacted the land. They just used the tires of the big grater to compact. Pedro is going to ask that they send more water. He should be able to start measuring up the land, and doing levels and all that tomorrow. I am hoping plumbing will start when Walt's group comes Monday so that Mike Coyne can help Pedro with that.

DAY ONE, REPORT THREE

I went back at 6 PM and they were still working, bringing dirt and leveling it out. Pictures and video:

DAY ONE, REPORT ONE

The city government has begun leveling out the land. Because of the poor quality (a lot of garbage underneath), they will be scraping deep and adding even more dirt. Here is some video of the work in progress, 8:30 AM Monday morning.
